Estate: Finca La Amistad is a third-generation coffee producer owned by the Montero Zeledón family. They have emphasised a long-term practise in sustainable agriculture dating back to the 1980's.
At present 90 percent of the estate is preserved as protected rainforest. This biological corridor has been recognized by the United Nations and UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and forms part of the World Biosphere Reserve.
